Jeff Bridges Plans to Lull You to Sleep After Super Bowl

Aimed at the weary, ‘Jeff Bridges Sleeping Tapes’ gets prime-time airplay via a Squarespace campaign with a difference

Website building platform Squarespace has collaborated with Academy Award-winning actor, musician and philanthropist Jeff Bridges as part of a campaign for the upcoming Super Bowl.

Jeff Bridges Sleeping Tapes is the title of the country singer’s new album that features relaxing sounds, guided meditations and stories created to help unwind listeners after a hard day’s work and encourage them drift off into a sound sleep. The project is catered toward fans of Bridges, but also people who are in need of some down time and find it difficult to switch off in the evenings, looking for something other than Netflix to persuade them to wind down.

Bridge explains on the site, “The world is filled with too many restless people in need of rest – that’s why I filled my sleeping tapes with intriguing sounds, noises and other things to help you get a good night’s rest.”

The songs are currently available to stream on a specially designed website created by Squarespace that integrates the platform’s e-commerce features which help tie the project together. The brand explain on their dedicated blog, “With this campaign, we hope to show that Squarespace can help make any dream, no matter how wild or weird, a little bit more amazing.”

Shoppers can opt to purchase the album for a donation amount, or true Bridges fans can indulge in extended products such as the unique box set, of which there are only five.

To nab one, you must hit the ‘auction’ feature on the website. Five lucky winners will receive a signed black linen-lined box set that includes a gold vinyl, a die-cut gold leaf pressed album cover, and a sleeping mask covered in original artwork from Jeff Bridges and Lou Beach, as well as a thank you note from Jeff himself.

The whole album will be released following the game on Sunday in digital, vinyl, and cassette formats with 100 percent of proceeds going toward No Kid Hungry, an initiative close to Jeff’s heart that aims to end child hunger in America.
