Jeff Bridges Channels The Dude in Squarespace's Super Bowl Ad Campaign

“I love listening to intriguing sounds when I drift off into my dreams.”

Jeff Bridges’ soothing voice introduces us to the Super Bowl campaign for Squarespace. The actor informally known as the Dude will appear in a yet-to-be-released 30-second spot for the website-building platform, but for now, check out the trippy teaser:

To demonstrate the allure of Squarespace, the company created a site for Bridges. On it you can find Sleeping Tapes, an album of lullabies performed by the actor. All of the proceeds from the record go to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit organization fighting childhood hunger.

The mellow campaign, created by ad agency Wieden+Kennedy, seems like a perfect fit for Bridges. “His voice is like oak and leather and cigar smoke and the wilderness,” David Kolbusz of Wieden+Kennedy told The Verge. “I personally have fallen asleep to the recording on more than one occasion.”

Sounds about right. Here’s a video in which Bridges gets into how to build a Squarespace website:
