Website publishing platform Squarespace recently released a teaser for its new nationwide ad.

In its first Super Bowl ad, website design service and publishing platform Squarespace depicts the world wide web as a dark and creepy neighborhood with freaky characters and strange shops.

The company just released a teaser that shows a man bombarded with images of neon signs saying things like “Hot Local Singles,” “Your Funny Words Here” and “Download Now” and storefronts that display people’s “Epic Fails.”

The teaser comes with the title “A Better Web Awaits,” an allusion to Squarespace’s services — helping consumers create and manage websites.

The video was created in-house by Squarespace Chief Creative Officer David Lee and directed by Malcolm Venville.
