Website publishing company Squarespace to create 100 jobs in Dublin

A website publishing company is to create 100 jobs in Dublin.

The customer care roles will be in the new European headquarters of Squarespace.

The New York-based company sells customers packages to set up online blogs and web pages.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said Squarespace’s decision to locate its headquarters in Dublin is a signal of Ireland’s growing reputation as the internet capital of Europe.

“This means great opportunities for our bright, highly skilled workforce, and the Government is working to attract further investment through our Action Plan for Jobs,” he said.

The investment has been supported by the taxpayer-backed IDA.

Anthony Casalena, founder and chief executive of Squarespace, said the firm chose Dublin over many other European cities as its first location outside New York City.

“Dublin offers us a friendly, young and talented workforce in a vibrant centre city location,” he said.

“It’s the perfect choice for Squarespace.”
